We met Serwaah in 2015, she was the most dazzling little girl with an enchanting smile and giggle. Serwaah lived with her grandmother who adored her and wanted the best, but due to her cerebral palsy Serwaah spent a lot of the day lying on the floor as she wasn’t able to hold her own head up.

Serwaah

Family First sponsors Serwaah so that she accesses physiotherapy once a month at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and once a month at our centre, where she also benefits from sensory play and social interactions.  In 2016, Family First provided Serwaah with a walking frame and wheelchair which she used daily at home, so that she could be interacting with her family members and working on her core strength at home, as well as during physiotherapy. These interventions, alongside RUTF (Ready to Use Therapeutic Food) that Serwaah receives, have been massively successful and Serwaah has flourished in her development.
