Rosie, or as everyone knows her in Ghana, Ama (meaning girl born on Saturday) is co-founder and director. Rosie travelled to Ghana for the first time in 2013 and fell in love with the country, the people and especially the children with disabilities. Rosie has a range of experience working in Ghanaian orphanages, with families in the community, at local hospitals and at Specialist schools. She is extremely passionate about supporting families and children with special needs, as well as educating others to become more accepting and understanding of disabilities. Rosie continues to work and study in the UK so that she can transfer these skills to Ghana.

Meghan lived in Kumasi, Ghana for 4 years and was mom to 3 children. Meghan was passionate about seeing children with special needs and complex medical needs thriving in their families and worked hands on in Ghana co-founding Family First; empowering local families and eradicating the stigma these families face. Devastatingly, Meghan passed away in November, 2018. It is heart-breaking to lose someone so wonderful, she has shaped the lives of so many and her memory will always live on through her 2 beautiful daughters, her friends and family and the work we continue to do with Family First.

Meghan will always be a true inspiration.

                       Richard – Volunteer medic

After discovering the limited available support working within a hospital, Richard is excited to learn more about special needs and improve services. Richard gives regular medical checks to our children and provides us a strong link with K.A.T.H.

Our Ghanaian staff work extremely hard to ensure that our various projects run smoothly in Ghana and all our families have the best possible care. Please support us by donating to their monthly wage. You are able to contribute a monthly payments or a one off donation.

Without our staff our projects would not be able to run and we would not be having the impact we are in Kumasi.
