Sewaah
Sewaah is 7 years old and is the most enchanting little girl you will ever meet. She adores attention and will dazzle you with her smiles and giggles.
Sewaah has cerebral palsy and has not developed strength to be able to hold herself up. Her grandmother is not sure what best to do for her, so Sewaah spends a lot of the day being sat in a box. However, she is very strong and determined! I believe that with input, exercises and stimulation Sewaah will definitely flourish.
Helping Paul has done an assessment of Serwaah’s needs and taken her for a physiotherapy assessment at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).
We have provided Serwaah with supportive shoes and gaiters, which help straighten her legs. We also gave a walking frame and a wheelchair, which will allow her to practise sitting, standing and walking, subsequently increasing her strength and posture to promote physical and muscle development.
Serwaah was given a sensory box, filled of sensory toys and materials. We worked with her grandmother to show her how to utilise the equipment effectively to ensure that she can help Serwaah reach the best of her potential as she so wants to.

Serwaah would really benefit from weekly physiotherapy sessions with a qualified physiotherapist at cerebral palsy clinic. Already the benefits have been massive, she is getting much stronger and her legs are getting much straighter (seen in the third picture). There is no doubt with continued care that Serwaah will thrive.
Your sponsorship will cover Serwaah’s yearly health insurance card, weekly transport to and from the hospital, physiotherapy fees and a monthly care package which will include vitamins, pampers and rice.
Health Insurance = 30 Cedi per year
Travel = 5 Cedi per week
Physiotherapy fees = 5 Cedi per week
Monthly Care package = 20 Cedi per month
These fees translate to just £3 a week. £12 a month is such a small cost to change the life of this amazing young girl and her grandmother.
