Blessing is a lovely, sweet little 4 year old girl who loves lots positive attention and interactions. She lives with her mother and 3 siblings. Sadly, her Father left due to stereotypical views of disabilities, meaning that her Mum has to work really hard to provide for her children. As Blessing is unable to sit or walk alone she is often left lying down all day whilst her Mum is out at work.

Helping Paul has assessed Blessing’s needs both at home and had a physiotherapy assessment at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

Blessing has been given supportive shoes and gaiters to help straighten her legs. She also has a standing frame which will help her gain trunk control and increase her strength. We worked with her mother and her siblings teaching them correct handling and the importance of interacting with Blessing. We demonstrated activities and sensory play that they can do to aid Blessing’s development, as well as creating a fun opportunitities to do as a family.
